Designing clarity within complexity. A modular automation platform built to unify the fragmented dental insurance ecosystem, transforming disconnected manual workflows into one connected system with a visual language focused on operational simplicity.
The dental insurance ecosystem was fragmented. Clinics, administrators, and insurers were trapped in disconnected tools, manual spreadsheets, and outdated systems. Every process, from benefit management to credential access, required redundant effort and constant human intervention. The goal was to design a single modular platform capable of centralizing information, automating operations, and delivering a reliable user experience across very different user types.
This was a close collaboration between the DentalRobot design team and systems. I owned the UX, UI, and concept strategy while the engineering team handled architecture and development. We worked in parallel throughout.
Together we scoped and built Unitas as a modular ecosystem designed to scale across every layer of the dental insurance workflow.
PPO Core: central engine connecting clinics, insurers, and admin teams in real time.
Solutions Platform: scalable foundation enabling future integrations and automation.
Password Manager: secure credential vault that reduces administrative friction.
EOB Extractor: AI-assisted tool that automatically decodes Explanation of Benefits files.
Unitas University: learning hub that transforms onboarding and certification into a guided, intuitive process.
On the design side, I defined a visual language built on calm hierarchy, neutral tones, and a rational grid. Each interaction was designed to reduce cognitive load and guide users through complexity. The final prototype was validated with real administrative users before handoff.
Administrative time reduced by 50% through process automation.
EOB processing time cut by 60% with automated extraction.
The visual language I defined was adopted as the design standard for future DentalRobot modules.
Scalable architecture ready for API integrations and AI-driven analytics.
